Newcastle Citifest, November 2012.

We decided to hold a double stall with friend Steve Camelleri & his "God, Creation & the Cosmos" display, over the 2 days of Citifest - a Combined Churches festival, featuring guest speaker Luis Palau from the USA, as well as many family-friendly activities.
Hunter CMI Friends were able to give away free Dvd's & brochures to the many people who were drawn into the stalls by Steve's wonderful & colourful display, as they stopped to talk & ask questions.

Wallsend Winter Carnival , September 2012.

We  set up a stall as an outreach project to advertise our presence in Newcastle as a Bookshop & Resource Centre, regular Film Screenings and visiting speakers coming to the Hunter Region periodically. Also being there for people who just wanted to ask questions & talk.
Plenty of free booklets & information were given away, with our Noahs Ark model, a large blow-up dinosaur and another robot dino on display drawing people's attention to the stall - no easy task given that there were streets crowded with stall holders and literally hundreds of passers-by.
We are looking forward to possibly attending other selected market days with the same ideas in mind.

Calvin Smith in Newcastle , August 11th 2010

Calvin Smith, Canadian CMI speaker, came on a one-night speaking engagement to Islington Baptist Church as part of his Australian tour.
The night was well attended by visitors and the local support group was on hand also to assist & get their photos taken with Calvin & his wife.

Wallsend Market Day Sunday 8th August 2010- God, Creation  & The Cosmos Display

Using the opportunity of this annual Carnival/Market Day held in Wallsend, Steve & David set up their display in the Presbyterian church which was opened for the occasion.

Steve's beautiful pictures and David's Noah's Ark always invite comment & closer inspection, and items from the Newcastle Bookshop were available for browsers to purchase.
Large market days are an easy way of reaching out to people, as well as advertising that we exist as a group within the local area.
